You will never truly understand it so I treat it as black magic that gets me the info I need. Funnily enough after having my struggles with Calculus I absolutely curbstomped my Linear Methods course after. From what I found people who did really well in calc struggled with Linear Methods and those who died in calc killed it in Linear.
